    The Oval Eye Nut manufactured in strict accordance with ANSI/IEEE C135.80 specifications for utility fasteners, our oval eye nuts are integrally drop-forged from high-yield carbon steel. This manufacturing process aligns the grain structure of the steel, providing exceptional tensile strength capable of standing the extreme loads of transmission and distribution lines. They are designed to thread perfectly onto standard machine bolts or double arming bolts.

    The production of oval eye nut starts with selecting high‑quality carbon or alloy steel round bar, which is cut into proper blanks and then hot forged into a rough shape with an oval eye and cylindrical body under high pressure. After trimming excess flash and calibrating the overall shape, internal threads are precisely tapped or rolled inside the nut body. The semi-finished product then undergoes heat treatment including quenching and tempering to enhance tensile strength, hardness and toughness. Finally, it is hot‑dip galvanized in accordance with ASTM A153 for corrosion resistance, followed by dimensional inspection, thread gauge testing, hardness check and visual examination before packaging.

    A: Yes, Oval Eye Nuts are frequently threaded onto the above-ground end of standard threaded anchor rods. However, there is a critical distinction: you should only use an Oval Eye Nut if you are attaching a clevis, shackle, or insulator to the anchor rod. If your design requires the steel guy wire to be wrapped directly through the eye, you must use a Thimble Eye Nut instead, which has a contoured groove to prevent the guy wire from kinking and breaking under high tension.
