Yokelink 5/8" Oval Eye Bolts are widely used for securing guying strands and dead-end insulators to utility poles. Unlike welded alternatives, our eye bolts are Drop Forged from a single piece of high-grade steel, ensuring structural integrity and superior fatigue resistance.
Standard Dimensions: Featuring a standard 1-1/2" x 2" Oval Eye opening, these bolts easily accommodate heavy-duty hooks, clevises, and guy grips. Manufactured to IEEE C135.80 specifications with a minimum tensile strength of 12,400 lbs .
Engineered for Harsh Desert & Coastal Environments. Yokelink machine bolts are specifically processed with Heavy-Duty Hot Dip Galvanizing (ASTM A153 Class C) to withstand the extreme heat, UV exposure, and high salinity conditions typical of the Middle East (KSA) region. Ideal for SEC (Saudi Electricity Company) distribution networks and oil & gas fields.
304 & 316 Stainless Steel Oval Eye Bolts are available per the request...

Oval Eye Bolt Factory Production Process
Oval eye bolts are made from ASTM A307 carbon steel. The oval eye head is formed by hot forging, followed by trimming, annealing and machining. Threads on the shank are processed by thread rolling to ensure precision. Heat treatment is carried out to meet mechanical properties. The bolts are then hot-dip galvanized in accordance with ASTM A153 for outdoor corrosion resistance. The whole production and inspection conform to IEEE C135.1 and IEEE C135.80, ensuring stable performance for overhead line applications.

Yokelink Quality Control and Testing Equipments
We don't just reference standards; we also verify them in practice: each batch of products undergoes destructive tensile testing in our internal laboratory to ensure load performance exceeds the minimum requirements of IEEE C135.1 / IEEE C138.80 or CSA specification; we use optical comparators to ensure the geometric accuracy of chamfered tips and rolled threads, enabling convenient on-site installation; at the same time, we conduct comprehensive testing on Rockwell hardness, coating thickness, and other parameters, and each shipment is accompanied by the original manufacturer's material specifications (MTRs) and quality inspection reports, with all data traceable back to the raw material furnace number.
Key Application Scenarios of Oval Eye Bolt:
-Used in overhead transmission and distribution lines
-Connects cross arms, pole hardware and guy wires
-Provides lifting, fixing and tensile support
-Applied in outdoor power line structures
-Ensures stable and safe operation of power systems
Yokelink Product Quality Inspection Report
We provide comprehensive inspection services for machine bolts, including SGS test bolts and formal Production Part Inspect Report (PPIR). The SGS tests verify the bolts’ compliance with international standards like ASTM A307 and IEEE C135.80, covering mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. The PPIR details all inspection items, ensuring each machine bolt meets dimensional, performance and quality requirements, providing reliable quality assurance for overhead line and industrial applications.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1.Q:Can I use Yokelink poleline fasteners bolts to replace Hubbell or MacLean parts?
A: Yes. Our poleline hardware bolts are functionally equivalent and interchangeable with industry-standard part numbers such as the Hubbell 82xx series and MacLean J82xx series. They meet or exceed the same mechanical load ratings
2.Q: Do you provide Mill Test Reports (MTRs) ,Drawing, or Factory Inspection Reports?
A: Yes, transparency is our standard. Full Mill Test Reports, Galvanizing Certificates, and Factory Inspection Reports are available with every shipment upon request, traceable to the raw material heat number.
3.Q:What is the difference between an Oval Eye and a Thimble Eye Bolt?
A: An Oval Eye Bolt has a smooth, elliptical opening designed to attach clevises, links, or hooks. A Thimble Eye Bolt has a grooved eye specifically designed to seat and protect a guy wire strand directly, eliminating the need for a separate thimble.
4.Q: Are these bolts drop forged or welded?
A: All Yokelink Eye Bolts are Drop Forged. We do not use bent or welded eyes, as drop forging provides superior strength and eliminates the risk of the eye opening under heavy tension load.
